This innovative technique uses a special strain of earthworms as the active agents in the biological digestion process, allowing natural recycling of the biological slurries from livestock farms, municipal sewage treatment plants and the food industry, prunings and mowings, the organic fraction of municipal solid waste crushed olive residues, etc.

The fundamental feature of erthworm composing is the work of the worms themseves, who consume the organic matter in the waste as food, and digest it to transform it into a valuable organic fertilizer called Earthworm Compost.  Since public bodies and private companies have the difficult problem of disposing of large quantities of organic waste, the erthworm composing technique is the best recycling solution, with the final objective of enabling both the economic recovery of the investments made and environmental protection.

The use of earthworm compost meets two requirements: it recovers resources while also restoring the organic matter content of poor soils, improving their agronomic structure.
